The Whisper Man by Alex North

The Whisper Man is a haunting story of a dead wife, a bereaved man, a town with a dark past, a house filled with strangeness, and a weirdly behaving son. I mean..what more could you ask in a thriller?

Tom Kennedy goes through it all. When he moves to a new house after his wife’s death, strange things start happening. His son, Jake’s behavior is unexplained and Tom finds himself getting farther and farther away from him. On the other hand, Jake is struggling to process his mother’s death. He goes through an intense emotional scuffle while he is trying to understand and work around his relationship with his father.

On the other side of the town, a child disappears. The circumstances surrounding it bring back a 20-year-old murder case in light. With the murderer still in the prison, who could be mirroring him and why? And how do Tom Kennedy and his son get sucked into it all? You’ll have to read it to find out.

How did it make me feel?

The Whisper Man constantly kept me on the edge of my seat and I found myself getting goosebumps. I am fairly new to this genre and I was happy to realize that I made a good choice!
